Overview
Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), South Central Zone (SCZ), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, has released two notifications dated 16 September 2026 for 28 contractual posts — 22 Hospitality Monitors (including 4 OBC backlog vacancies) and 6 Tourism Monitors. Candidates aged up to 35 years (UR), holding a B.Sc./BBA/MBA in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Tourism & Hotel Management from a recognised institute (Hospitality Monitors), or a Bachelor's degree in Tourism/Travel & Tourism with 1-2 years' relevant experience (Tourism Monitors), can attend a walk-in interview between 5 October 2026 and 9 October 2026, at venues in Bhubaneswar and Hyderabad. Selected Hospitality Monitors will supervise food production and service quality across IRCTC's mobile and static catering units on trains including Vande Bharat, Mail/Express and Tourist Trains, while Tourism Monitors will support Bharat Gaurav Rakes and tour package operations. The selection process is a Walk-in Interview followed by antecedent and medical fitness verification — there is no written examination. CTC for IRCTC SCZ Recruitment 2026 is ₹30,000 per month for Hospitality Monitors and ₹30,000-₹35,000 per month for Tourism Monitors (based on qualification/experience), plus Daily Allowance, Lodging Charges, National Holiday Allowance and Medical Insurance, on a contract of 2 years (Hospitality, extendable by 1 year) or 3 years (Tourism), with a security deposit of ₹25,000 required from selected candidates. Qualification

Eligibility
Hospitality Monitors (22 posts) — Full-time B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration from a Central/State Institute of Hotel Management (CIHM/SIHM/PIHM) affiliated to NCHM&CT/UGC/AICTE, OR BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) from an Indian Culinary Institute under Ministry of Tourism, OR B.Sc. Hotel Management and Catering Science from a Government-recognised University, OR MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management) from a Government-recognised University Hospitality Monitors — Experience linked to age: no experience required up to 28 years; 1 year required for 28-30 years; 2 years required for 30-35 years (35 years maximum for UR) Tourism Monitors (6 posts) — 3-year Bachelor's degree in Tourism, OR 3-year Bachelor's in any stream plus 1-year Diploma in Travel & Tourism, with minimum 1 year's experience in Tour Operation/Travel Agency firms (₹30,000/month); OR 3-year Bachelor's plus 2-year PG Degree/Diploma in Travel & Tourism, with minimum 2 years' experience (₹35,000/month) Age Limit — 35 years maximum for UR (both posts), as on 1 September 2026; relaxation 5 years (SC/ST), 3 years (OBC), 10 years (PwBD), and service rendered plus 3 years (Ex-Servicemen) Reservation, Tourism Monitors — SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC-NCL 27%, PwBD 4%, EWS 10%, Ex-Servicemen 10% Job Type — Fixed-term contract: 2 years (Hospitality Monitors, extendable by 1 year); 3 years (Tourism Monitors); does not entitle candidates to regular/permanent employment Security Deposit — ₹25,000 (Demand Draft) required from selected candidates; forfeited if a Hospitality Monitor does not complete minimum 1 year of service Selection Process — Walk-in Interview, followed by verification of antecedents and Medical Fitness clearance; a Reserve Panel equal in number to the shortlisted candidates is also maintained Only Indian Nationals are eligible; candidates in Government/PSU service must apply through proper channel or submit a No Objection Certificate at the interview
