IUAC Delhi Trade Apprentice 2026 — Inter-University Accelerator Centre (10 Posts)

Inter-University Accelerator Centre (IUAC), New Delhi — India's premier particle accelerator facility under the Department of Higher Education — has released the notification for 10 Trade Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act 1961. Trades include Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Electronics Mechanic, COPA, and Draughtsman Mechanical. Selected apprentices will receive hands-on training at IUAC's state-of-the-art accelerator facility in New Delhi for 12 months. This is separate from the IUAC Scientist/JE recruitment (26 posts) — both can be applied for independently. Candidates must register on the NAPS portal (apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) before applying.

ITI/NTC/NAC in relevant trade (Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Electronics Mechanic, COPA, Draughtsman Mechanical) from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution. Must not have completed apprenticeship earlier.

14-30 years as per Apprentices Act 1961; relaxation per Central Govt rules Fee: NIL — no application fee

• ITI/NTC/NAC in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institution.
• Must not have undergone apprenticeship earlier under the Apprentices Act.
• Must register on NAPS portal before applying.
• Age 14-30 years (relaxation per rules).

Stipend as per Apprentices Act 1961 — ITI Trade Apprentice: ₹7,000–₹9,000/month for 12-month training period

1. Register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (NAPS portal) — mandatory.
2. Visit iuac.res.in → Careers → Apprenticeship 2026.
3. Apply through the NAPS portal selecting "IUAC" as the establishment.
4. Upload ITI certificate, photo, and documents.
5. No fee — submit before 27 July 2026.
