JHTET 2026 — Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JAC)

The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Ranchi has released the notification for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JHTET) 2026. JHTET is a mandatory eligibility test for candidates seeking teaching positions at primary (Classes 1–5, Paper I) and upper primary (Classes 6–8, Paper II) levels in government and recognized schools across Jharkhand. The exam is an offline MCQ-based test. The application deadline has been extended to 20 June 2026.

Paper I (Classes 1–5): 10+2 with 50% + D.El.Ed/B.El.Ed; Paper II (Classes 6–8): Graduation + B.Ed/D.El.Ed (or related). Can apply for one or both papers.

No age limit

• Paper I (Classes 1–5): Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% + a 2-year D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed or Diploma in Special Education.
• Paper II (Classes 6–8): Graduation + B.Ed or 2-year D.El.Ed or related teacher-education qualification.
• Candidates can apply for Paper I, Paper II, or both.
• No age limit.

1. Go to jac.jharkhand.gov.in and open the JTET 2026 Exam Form Portal.
2. Register and create your login, then fill the application form.
3. Upload photo and signature in the required format.
4. Pay the fee online (card/net banking/UPI) and submit before 20 June 2026. Download the confirmation page.
