JKSSB Warder 2026 — Jammu & Kashmir Prisons Department (288 Posts)

Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement No. 05 of 2026 for 288 Warder posts in the Prisons Department, Government of Jammu & Kashmir. This is separate from the JKSSB PWD Draftsman/Works Supervisor recruitment (Advt. 06/2026, 357 posts) — together JKSSB is recruiting 645 posts in July 2026. Warders serve at central and district jails across J&K. Only 10th-pass candidates with J&K domicile eligible. Must meet physical standards. Selection through Written/OMR Objective Examination, Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Medical Examination.

* 10th pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board. * Must be domicile of Jammu & Kashmir. * Must meet physical standards (height, chest) as specified. * Age 18-40 years (Open); 43 years (reserved) as on 01 January 2026.
