Overview
MP Police Constable Driver Recruitment 2026 is out: the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal, has released the Police Constable (Driver) Recruitment Test 2026 rulebook on 07 October 2026 for 1,000 Constable (Driver) posts under the Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Of these, 200 posts are in the Special Armed Force (SAF) and 800 posts are in the District Police Force and other units outside SAF. This MP government job 2026 is open only to male candidates who have passed Class 10 (Class 8 for ST) and hold a valid Heavy Motor Vehicle driving licence, making it one of the few police entries where a driving licence counts more than a degree. Selected Constable Drivers will drive and maintain police vehicles for district police stations, SAF battalions and other police units across Madhya Pradesh, and the rulebook makes clear they will not be posted to their home district. The selection process has two stages: an online written examination of 100 objective questions for 100 marks in 2 hours with no negative marking, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (800-metre run, 40 marks), document verification and a qualifying practical driving trade test. Candidates up to seven times the vacancies are shortlisted for the second stage. The salary for MP Police Constable Driver 2026 is ₹19,500 to ₹62,000 per month at Pay Level 4, with a stipend of 70%, 80% and 90% of the minimum pay in the first three years, plus DA and state allowances. The MP Police Constable Driver 2026 online application opens on 15 October 2026 through the MP Online portal at mponline.gov.in. The last date to apply for MP Police Constable Driver Recruitment 2026 is 29 October 2026, and form corrections are allowed until 03 November 2026. The combined fee is ₹700 for Unreserved candidates and ₹350 for MP domicile SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates, plus portal charges. The written exam begins on 04 January 2027.
