MPESB Subedar & Sub Inspector Recruitment 2026 — 507 Posts, Apply Online 09-23 Sep (MP)

Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), on behalf of Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, has opened online applications for the Subedar/Sub Inspector Cadre Recruitment Selection Exam 2026, per Police HQ letter No. पुमु/2-चयन/स-1/997/26, dated 30.07.2026. A total of 507 posts are on offer across seven cadres — Subedar, Sub Inspector (Special Armed Force), Sub Inspector (District Police Force), and four technical Sub Inspector cadres (Arms, Photo, Questioned Documents, Finger Print). Candidates meeting the qualification, age, and domicile conditions can apply online from 09.09.2026 to 23.09.2026. Selection involves a Preliminary Written Exam, a Main Written Exam, a Physical Efficiency Test, and an Interview. Non-MP-domicile candidates may apply only under the Unreserved (Open) category, with no reservation or age-relaxation benefit, and a flat maximum age of 33 years. The Preliminary Written Exam is scheduled for 28.10.2026, with the Main Exam date to be announced after the preliminary result. Selected candidates will be posted across Police units within the state as per department need, with pay at Level-9 (₹36,200–₹1,14,800). • SI (Arms): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized technical university
• SI (Photo/QD/Finger Print): Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognized university, or equivalent

• Male, MP Unreserved/EWS: 33 years
• Any category, other-state domicile: 33 years
• Female (all categories, MP domicile) & Male (MP domicile, reserved SC/ST/OBC): 38 years
• Male (MP domicile, govt/corp/board employee or Nagar Sainik, or inter-caste marriage): 38 years
• Female (MP domicile, inter-caste marriage): 43 years (38+5)
• Vikram Award winners: up to 43 years (38+5) depending on category
• Age reckoned as on the last date of online application, 23-09-2026

• Candidate must be a citizen of India
• Non-MP-domicile candidates may apply only under the Unreserved (Open) category, with no reservation or age-relaxation benefit, and a flat maximum age of 33 years
• A candidate with more than 2 living children, one of whom was born on or after 26 January 2001, is not eligible (with an exception where a single subsequent delivery results in twins/multiple births)
• Height minimum 167.5 cm (male)/152.4 cm (female); Vision 6/9 in better eye, 6/12 in other eye (uncorrected); must pass Ishihara Plate colour-vision test. No relaxation available in minimum physical standards on health or any other grounds

• SC/ST/OBC/EWS (MP domicile only): ₹250
• Additional MP Online portal fee: ₹60 (via kiosk) or ₹20 (self-filled); separate departmental exam fee of ₹200 (unreserved)/₹100 (reserved) applies at the second-stage main written exam

• Probation stipend: 70% of minimum pay in Year 1, 80% in Year 2, 90% in Year 3, plus other allowances

2. Register and fill in the online application form with personal, educational, and category details
3. Upload a colour photograph, signature, and a handwriting sample as per the prescribed specifications
4. Indicate post preferences/priority among eligible cadres (non-technical and, where eligible, one technical group)
5. Pay the application fee online via credit/debit card or net banking, or through an authorized MP Online kiosk
6. Review all entries carefully before submission — corrections after the correction window (28.09.2026) will not be entertained
7. Save/print the application form and fee receipt for future reference
8. Download and bring your exam admit card from the MPESB website — no admit cards are sent by post
9. Only one application per candidate is permitted; multiple applications will lead to cancellation of candidature
10. Government/departmental candidates require prior permission from their appointing authority to sit the exam
