MPESB Group-3 Sub Engineer, Draftsman & Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026 — 1,040 Posts, Apply Online

The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal, also known as MP Vyapam, has released the notification for the Group-3 Sub Engineer, Cartographer, Laboratory Technician and Other Equivalent Posts Combined Recruitment Exam 2026. A total of 1,040 vacancies have been announced across Sub Engineer, Draftsman, Technical Assistant, Surveyor, Laboratory Technician, Mineral Surveyor and other technical Group/Class III posts, spread across nearly 90 government offices and departments in Madhya Pradesh. Eligible candidates from 13 technical streams, including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, and several other engineering and vocational disciplines, can apply online at esb.mp.gov.in between 18 August 2026 and 1 September 2026. MPESB Group-3 Sub Engineer Recruitment 2026 is a single combined competitive exam conducted on behalf of multiple Madhya Pradesh government departments, including the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government Polytechnic Colleges, and the Office of the Chief Engineer, Rural Mechanical Services, among many others. Selected candidates will be placed on Group/Class III technical posts, both Executive and Non-Executive, with pay and grade determined department-wise. The exam is scheduled to be held in two shifts per day starting 6 October 2026. Qualifying marks stand at 50% for unreserved candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC and Divyangjan candidates, with the usual 10% relaxation applicable. Candidates must apply online through the MPESB portal or MP Online kiosks before the 1 September 2026 deadline, indicating their preferred post codes and technical stream in order of priority, since changes are not permitted after the correction window closes on 6 September 2026. Aadhaar-based biometric verification is mandatory at the exam centre, and candidates are advised to complete their MP Rojgar Panjiyan (employment registration) in advance, as it is a prerequisite for several of the demanding departments under this recruitment. • Sub Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in the respective engineering branch from a recognized institution

• General/Unreserved candidates: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 40 years
• MP-domicile SC/ST/OBC candidates, government/corporation/board/home guard employees, and women candidates: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 45 years
• EWS candidates: no age relaxation admissible
• Age calculated as on 1 January 2026
