Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), has released the NPCIL Stipendiary Trainee Technician Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. NPCIL/KKNPP/HRM/01/2026 for 255 Category-II posts in Tamil Nadu. NPCIL is India's premier nuclear power generation company under the Department of Atomic Energy, operating India's largest nuclear power plant at Kudankulam, Tirunelveli. As of July 2026, the NPCIL KKNPP online application is active for 10th and 12th pass candidates with ITI and Science backgrounds. Selected NPCIL Stipendiary Trainees will undergo a structured 2-year training programme in trades including Plant Operator, Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Electronics Mechanic, and Instrument Mechanic at KKNPP, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. Qualification
Plant Operator (ST/TN): HSC (10+2) or ISC with Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) with minimum 50% aggregate marks. English as one of the subjects at SSC (10th) level mandatory. Other Trades (Electrician / Fitter / Turner / Machinist / Welder / Electronics Mechanic / Instrument Mechanic): SSC (10th) with minimum 50% marks individually in Science and Mathematics, plus 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute. Where ITI course is less than 2 years, 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience required.
Age Limit
18 to 24 years as on last date of application (04 August 2026). OBC (NCL) — 3 years relaxation; SC/ST — 5 years; PwBD — 10 years. Project Affected Persons (PAPs) of Kudankulam also eligible with relaxed qualifying marks.
Eligibility

Salary
Stipend during training: ₹20,000 per month (Year 1) and ₹22,000 per month (Year 2) plus one-time book allowance of ₹3,000. After successful training completion, absorbed as Technician-B at Pay Level-3 with Basic Pay ₹21,700 per month plus DA, HRA, and NPCIL allowances.
