Oil India Chemist 2026 — 4 Posts, Walk-in 17 Aug at Duliajan (Assam)

Oil India Limited (OIL), the Maharatna PSU that ranks as India's second largest national upstream oil and gas company, has invited applications for four posts of Contractual Chemist (Fields) at its Field Headquarters in Duliajan, Assam. The category-wise break-up is two Unreserved, one SC and one OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview to be held on 17 August 2026. The Contractual Chemist handles drilling and workover fluid systems at active well sites, which is why the notification insists on two years of hands-on Exploration and Production experience on top of a two-year Master's degree in Chemistry. The walk-in interview carries 100 marks assessed on professional knowledge and skills in the concerned and allied disciplines, personal attributes and soft skills, with a minimum qualifying score of 50 marks for all categories. Final selection is purely on merit. The consolidated emolument is Rs. 70,000 per month. Candidates must report at Duliajan Club, Oil India Limited, Duliajan for registration between 07:00 AM and 09:00 AM on 17 August 2026 — only those who complete registration within this window will be interviewed. Bring the filled Personal Bio-Data Form from the notification, one 3cm x 3cm colour photograph, photo and address proof, Class 10th certificate, all semester mark sheets and the final Master's degree certificate, experience certificates, caste or EWS certificate where applicable, and an NOC if currently employed in a Government or PSU organisation. • Master's Degree in Chemistry of minimum two years duration from a University or Institute recognised by the Government of India

• Master's Degree in Chemistry of minimum two years duration from a Government of India recognised University or Institute
• Minimum two years post-qualification experience in handling drilling and workover fluids in the E&P industry
• Age 18 to 45 years for General as on the date of registration
• OBC (NCL) — upper age 48 years
• SC — upper age 50 years
• Must clear the walk-in interview with minimum 50 marks out of 100
• NOC required if currently serving in a Government or PSU organisation

Consolidated monthly emolument of Rs. 70,000 per month. The engagement is purely temporary and may involve shift work, arduous and hazardous conditions in remote locations, and On-Call duty.
