Oil India Logging Assistant 2026 — 9 Posts, Walk-in 10 Aug (Assam)

Oil India Limited (OIL), India's second largest national upstream oil and gas company and a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, has released Advertisement No. HRAQ/CONT-WP-B/26-289 dated 22 July 2026 for 9 posts of Contractual Logging Assistant at its Field Headquarters in Duliajan, Assam. The engagement is open only to domicile candidates of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh who have passed Class 10 and hold an NCVT or SCVT trade certificate in Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Electrician, Turner, Welder, Motor Mechanic or Machinist, along with at least six months of oilfield work experience. There is no online application for this recruitment. The Contractual Logging Assistant assists Logging Operators with minor repairs and maintenance of logging units and tools at the workshop and well site, prepares bridle and cable splicing, connects tools, handles loading and unloading of rig-up accessories, radioactive materials and explosives, performs rig-up and rig-down of logging tools on the well head, works on the Pressure Control Assembly and Grease Injection System, and maintains routine checks on the logging unit. The work involves shift duty of an arduous and hazardous nature at remote OIL installations, including on-call duty. Selection is purely on merit from the Walk-in for Personal Assessment carrying 100 marks with a qualifying score of 50 for all categories, assessed on professional knowledge in the concerned and allied disciplines and on personal attributes and soft skills. Remuneration is a fixed ₹21,450 per month plus ₹825 per working day as a variable component. Registration for the walk-in takes place on 10 August 2026 between 7:00 am and 9:00 am at Duliajan Club, Oil India Limited, Duliajan, and no candidate will be permitted to register outside this window under any circumstances. Candidates must carry the filled-in Personal Bio-Data Form from the last two pages of the official notification, one recent 3cm x 3cm colour photograph, and all original documents with a self-attested set of copies. The engagement is purely contractual for an initial 6 months, extendable in three further tenures of 6 months each up to a maximum of 24 months, and confers no right to regularisation in Oil India Limited.

Minimum 18 years for all categories. Maximum age — General: 40 years; OBC (NCL): 43 years; SC / ST: 45 years. Age is calculated as on the date of registration for the walk-in. Only the Class 10 Admit Card, Pass Certificate or Marksheet issued by a Government recognised Education Board is accepted as proof of date of birth.

• Reservation for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen as per Government of India guidelines; PwBD suitability covers LV, HH, OA, OL, Dw, AAV, ASD (Mild), SLD and Multiple Disabilities
• Candidates without original documents will not be permitted to appear for the Personal Assessment
• Candidates already employed in Government service, PSU or an autonomous body must carry a valid No Objection Certificate
• Selected candidates must submit a fitness certificate from a Government registered medical practitioner and a police verification report at the time of joining

During Maternity Leave availed within the contractual period, only the Fixed component is paid. Selected candidates are entitled to 6 days paid leave for every 6 months of engagement.

6. Report to Duliajan Club, Oil India Limited, Duliajan on 10 August 2026 between 7:00 am and 9:00 am for mandatory registration — no registration is permitted outside this window
7. Complete on-the-spot document verification at the registration desk
8. Appear for the Walk-in for Personal Assessment on the same day if found eligible, as per the registered candidate list
9. Leave all mobile phones, calculators and electronic devices outside the venue, as these are strictly banned within the premises
10. Note that no Travelling Allowance or Daily Allowance is paid, and candidates must arrange their own travel and accommodation
