OPSC AEE Recruitment 2026 is out for 758 Assistant Executive Engineer posts in the Odisha Engineering Service (Group A). The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) issued Advertisement No. 13 of 2026-27 on 09 October 2026, with 750 AEE (Civil) posts for the Water Resources, Works and Housing & Urban Development Departments and 8 AEE (Mechanical) posts for the Water Resources Department. Of the Civil posts, 612 are backlog vacancies and 138 are 2025 vacancies, and 247 are reserved for women. There is no written exam for OPSC AEE 2026. Candidates are shortlisted on their GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 score, called category-wise for document verification, and then about twice the vacancies in each category go to interview. The final merit gives 90% weight to the GATE score and 10% to the interview. Selected engineers join at Pay Level-12 of the Odisha Revised Scale of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2017, starting at a ₹56,100 basic plus DA, and serve two years on probation under NPS. The OPSC AEE online application opens on 22 October 2026 and closes on 11 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates apply through the OPSC online portal linked from opsc.gov.in. No application fee is charged. Keep your QR-coded GATE score card, degree certificate and Odia proficiency certificate ready, because document verification is planned from the first week of December 2026.

• AEE (Civil): Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university/institution, or Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (India) in Civil Engineering, plus a valid GATE score in Civil Engineering (CE)
• AEE (Mechanical): Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or AMIE in Mechanical Engineering, plus a valid GATE score in Mechanical Engineering (ME)
• GATE 2024, GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score only; the score must meet the category-wise qualifying mark printed on the QR-coded score card
• Ability to read, write and speak Odia, proven by a prescribed certificate

• General: 21 to 42 years as on 01.01.2026 (born between 02.01.1984 and 01.01.2005)
• SC / ST / SEBC / Women / Ex-Servicemen: 5 years relaxation (up to 47 years)
• PwD (40% or more disability): 10 years relaxation
• PwD of SC / ST / SEBC: 15 years cumulative relaxation
• Junior Engineers of the Diploma Engineers' Service who later acquired a degree: up to 45 years (maximum five chances)

• Nationality: Indian citizen
• Age: 21 to 42 years as on 01 January 2026, with relaxation for SC, ST, SEBC, women, ex-servicemen and PwD candidates
• Civil posts: BE/BTech in Civil Engineering or AMIE (Civil) plus a valid GATE Civil Engineering score
• Mechanical posts: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or AMIE (Mechanical) plus a valid GATE Mechanical Engineering score
• GATE validity: only the 2024, 2025 and 2026 GATE scores are accepted
• GATE score must be at or above the category qualifying mark on the score card
• Odia language: must read, write and speak Odia
• SEBC candidates need a caste certificate issued on or after 23 October 2023
• Ex-servicemen must submit a release certificate to claim relaxation
• Only one age relaxation applies per candidate, except the additional PwD relaxation

7. For Civil posts, rank your preference among the Water Resources, Works and Housing & Urban Development Departments
8. Upload your photograph, signature, GATE score card and other required documents
9. Submit the form before 11 November 2026, 5:00 PM; no application fee is payable
