Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB), Punjab, has released the Group-D Recruitment 2026 notification under Advertisement No. 04 of 2026 for 2,007 posts across multiple Government of Punjab departments. This PSSSB Group-D Recruitment 2026 sarkari naukri opportunity covers Sewadar, Chowkidar, Safai Sewak, Maali-cum-Chowkidar, Cattle Attendant, Fisherman, and various other Group-D posts under departments including Deputy Commissioner offices, Director Youth Services, Directorate of Tourism, Department of Jails, and the Directorate of Animal Husbandry. The total vacancy count has increased from 1,401 to 2,007 through a corrigendum dated 03 September 2026, which also added posts from the Excise & Taxation Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner, Moga. Candidates aged between 18 and 37 years, meeting Matriculation-level education with Punjabi as one subject, are eligible to apply online before the closing date. Selected candidates will be posted as Group-D staff across various Punjab Government offices and departments statewide, handling caretaking, sanitation, animal husbandry support, and general facility-maintenance duties depending on department and post. The selection process for PSSSB Group-D Recruitment 2026 consists of an Objective-type (MCQ) written examination in two parts — Part A, a qualifying Matriculation-standard Punjabi language paper requiring a minimum 50% to qualify, and Part B, which alone determines the merit list, with 1 mark per question and 0.25 mark negative marking for each wrong answer. The salary for PSSSB Group-D 2026 is ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 per month, Pay Level-1 as per the 7th Pay Commission, governed by the Punjab Finance Department's applicable instructions. The PSSSB Group-D 2026 online application is available at https://sssb.punjab.gov.in. The last date to apply and pay the fee for PSSSB Group-D Recruitment 2026 is 14 September 2026, revised from the original window that opened on 27 February 2026, following two corrigenda dated 24 August 2026 and 03 September 2026. Application fee is ₹1,000 for General/Freedom Fighter/Sportsperson candidates, ₹250 for SC/BC/EWS candidates, ₹200 for Ex-Servicemen & Dependents, and ₹500 for Divyang (PwD) candidates. Candidates who already applied during the original window need not reapply. Candidates must read the complete official PSSSB Group-D 2026 notification PDF and the latest corrigendum before applying, since the full department- and post-wise vacancy breakup (Annexure-O) contains further entries beyond what is summarised here.
