Overview
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited online applications for 11,127 Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) posts under CEN 01/2026, across all 21 RRBs and 17 railway zones. Candidates may apply to only ONE RRB zone. Selection is through CBT-1, CBT-2, a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), document verification and a medical exam. It is a Level-2 post with railway allowances and benefits.
Eligibility
* Class 10 (Matriculation) pass + ITI in a relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT), OR a 3-year Diploma / Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline.
* Age 18–30 years as on 01 July 2026; relaxation for SC/ST (5 yrs), OBC-NCL (3 yrs), PwBD and Ex-servicemen per railway rules.
* Apply to only one RRB — applying to multiple RRBs leads to disqualification.

How to Apply
1. Go to rrbapply.gov.in and register/log in.
2. Open the CEN 01/2026 (Assistant Loco Pilot) notification and select ONE RRB zone.
3. Fill the form, upload photo and signature, and pay the fee (refunded after appearing in CBT-1).
4. Submit before 14 June 2026 (11:59 PM) and download the confirmation.
