Overview
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the indicative notice for CEN 02/2026 — Technician Recruitment 2026 — for 6,565 vacancies across Technician Grade-I Signal (323 posts) and Technician Grade-III (6,242 posts) in 21 RRBs and 17 railway zones. Applications open on 30 June 2026; the detailed CEN will be published on 29 June 2026. Selection is through a Computer-Based Test (CBT), document verification, and medical examination. Candidates can apply to only one RRB per pay level.
Qualification
Grade-I Signal: B.Sc / Diploma / Degree in Engineering; Grade-III: Matriculation (10th) + ITI in relevant trade (NCVT/SCVT). Some S&T posts accept 10+2 with Physics & Maths.
Age Limit
Grade-I Signal: 18–33 years; Grade-III: 18–30 years; as on 01 July 2026; relaxation per govt norms
Eligibility

Grade-I Signal: Pay Level-5, ₹29,200/month; Grade-III: Pay Level-2, ₹19,900/month (+ railway allowances)
How to Apply
- From 30 June 2026, go to rrbapply.gov.in and register/log in.
- Open CEN 02/2026 (Technician) and select one RRB zone and pay level.
- Fill the form, upload photo and signature, and pay the fee (refunded after appearing in CBT).
- Submit before 29 July 2026 (11:59 PM) and download the confirmation.
