RRC WR Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 — 64 Posts, Apply Online by 30 Sep (All India)

The Railway Recruitment Cell, Western Railway (RRC/WR), Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released Employment Notice No. RRC/WR/01/2026 (Sports Quota) dated 27 August 2026, inviting online applications from eligible sportspersons for 64 posts — 5 in Level 5/4, 16 in Level 3/2 (both Group 'C'), and 43 in Level 1 (erstwhile Group 'D') — across disciplines including Athletics, Cricket, Hockey, Football, Boxing, Weightlifting, Wrestling, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and more. This RRC WR Sports Quota Recruitment 2026 is open to sportspersons aged 18 to 25 years who hold recognised achievement norms in specified championships held between 01 April 2024 and the date of notification, and there is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD or Ex-Servicemen in this drive. Selected sportspersons will be recruited under the Sports Quota to represent the Western Railway Sports Association (WRSA) while serving in railway posts corresponding to their pay level — Graduate for Level 5/4, 12th pass or equivalent for Level 3/2, and 10th pass or ITI/NAC for Level 1. The selection process for RRC WR Sports Quota 2026 is a Selection Trial assessing recognised sports achievements (50 marks), game skill/physical fitness/coach's observation (40 marks), and educational qualification (10 marks) out of 100, with level-wise minimum qualifying marks of 60 (Level 1) to 70 (Level 5/4). A sportsperson with Level 5/4 norms applying against Level 3/2 will be considered only for Level 3/2. Selected candidates are liable for posting anywhere on Western Railway, must undertake active service in the Railway Engineers Unit of the Territorial Army (if male), and must submit a 5-year Service Bond at appointment. The RRC WR Sports Quota 2026 online application opens 01 September 2026 at 10:00 hrs and closes 30 September 2026 at 18:00 hrs, submitted only via https://www.rrc-wr.com. Application fee is ₹500 (₹400 refundable to eligible candidates who appear at trial) for general candidates, and ₹250 (fully refundable) for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwD/Women/Minorities/EBC candidates. • Sports Achievement: Must have acquired recognised norms in championships held between 01 April 2024 and the date of notification, and be currently active — Level 5/4 requires Olympic/World Cup/World Championship/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games representation or top-3 finishes at that tier; Level 3/2 and Level 1 have progressively lower recognised norm thresholds (see official notification for exact discipline-specific requirements)
• Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 25 years as on 01-01-2027 (born between 01-01-2002 and 01-01-2009)
• No reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD or Ex-Servicemen in this recruitment — fee concessions exist, but not reservation in vacancies
• Championships must be conducted under a recognised International/National Sports Federation and recognised by the Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB); federations not recognised by MoYAS at the time of the championship are not accepted

5. Upload the scanned photograph (3.5cm x 3.5cm, JPG/JPEG, 100 DPI, 20-70 KB, without cap or sunglasses) and scanned signature (3.5cm x 2.5cm, JPG/JPEG, 100 DPI, 20-30 KB)
6. Pay the applicable application fee — ₹500 (general) or ₹250 (SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwD/Women/Minorities/EBC) — online through the integrated payment gateway; no edits are allowed after payment
7. Note the Registration Number generated on submission for all future reference
8. Take a printout of the submitted application — it must be produced at the time of the Selection Trial
9. Submit a SEPARATE application with SEPARATE fee for each discipline and pay level you wish to apply for — a single application covering two or more events/games will be summarily rejected
