Overview
The State Bank of India (SBI) has released a notification (Advt. No. CRPD/APPR/2026-27/07) for the engagement of 7,150 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, across all states and union territories. Selected candidates undergo a 1-year apprenticeship training at SBI branches with a monthly stipend of ₹15,000. The online exam will be conducted by the BFSI Sector Skill Council. Important: This is an apprenticeship for training purposes — it does not guarantee permanent employment with SBI. Candidates must also register on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal.
Eligibility
* Graduation (Bachelor's degree) in any discipline from a recognized university — must be completed as on 01 April 2026.
* Age 20–28 years as on 01 April 2026 (relaxation for reserved categories per govt norms).
* Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language of the state applied for.
* Can apply for only one state/UT.

How to Apply
1. Go to sbi.co.in → Careers → "Engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961."
2. Click New Registration and enter basic details to get a registration number.
3. Upload photo, signature, and handwritten declaration in required format.
4. Fill educational and personal details, pay the fee online, and submit before 15 June 2026.
5. Also register on the NAPS portal (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme).
