State Bank of India (SBI), through its Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, Mumbai, has released a Special Recruitment Drive for Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in the clerical cadre, popularly known as SBI Clerk Recruitment 2026. This bank job fills 1,538 backlog vacancies reserved exclusively for SC, ST, and OBC candidates across 21 states and union territories. Selected Junior Associates will handle customer support, sales, and clerical operations at SBI branches within their applied state, with proficiency in the local language required. Selection consists of an online Preliminary Examination (100 marks), a Main Examination (200 marks), and a Local Language Proficiency Test for candidates who have not studied the applied state's local language in Class 10 or 12. Starting basic pay is ₹26,730 per month, with total starting emoluments of approximately ₹46,000 in a metro city.
