SBI PO 2026 — State Bank of India Probationary Officer (1,500 Posts)

State Bank of India (SBI), India's largest public sector bank, has released the official notification (Advt. No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09) for 1,500 Probationary Officer (PO) vacancies — 1,446 regular and 54 backlog posts. This is nearly 3x the vacancies from last year (541 in 2025), making it one of the best opportunities to join SBI as an officer. Online registration opened on 18 June 2026 and closes on 08 July 2026. Selection is through three stages — Preliminary Examination (August 2026), Main Examination (September 2026), and Phase-III comprising Interview, Group Exercise, and Psychometric Test (October-November 2026). SBI PO is one of the most sought-after banking careers in India, offering excellent salary, job security, and promotion prospects from Junior Management Grade to top management.
