SECR Nagpur Apprentice 2026 — Railway Trade Apprentice (1,079 Posts)

South East Central Railway (SECR) Nagpur Division and Motibagh Workshop have released the notification for engagement of 1,079 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. Trades include Fitter, Electrician, COPA, Mechanic Diesel, Welder, Carpenter and more across 23 trades in Nagpur Division and 8 trades in Motibagh Workshop. There is no application fee. Selection is purely on merit — a merit list based on Matriculation and ITI marks (no written exam). Applications are through the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal.

Matriculation (10th) with at least 50% marks + ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade

15–24 years as on 19 May 2026; relaxation per govt norms (OBC +3, SC/ST +5)

• Matriculation (10th pass) with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• ITI certificate in the relevant designated trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.
• Age 15–24 years as on 19 May 2026 (relaxation: OBC +3, SC/ST +5 years per rules).
• Must not have completed apprenticeship training earlier in the same trade.

No application fee (zero for all categories)

Stipend as per Apprentices Act during training period

1. Register on the NAPS portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in (if not done).
2. Go to secr.indianrailways.gov.in and download the notification for reference.
3. Apply online through the NAPS portal — search for SECR Nagpur Division / Motibagh Workshop vacancies.
4. Fill the form, upload documents, and submit before 18 June 2026 (23:59 hrs). No fee required.
