Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL), a Mini-Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, has released Graduate/Technician (Diploma) Apprentice Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. UCSL/HR/APP/VN-ReN-GAT/2026/94 for 6 posts — 3 Graduate Apprentice and 3 Diploma Apprentice, across Mechanical and Electrical Engineering disciplines. This is a separate apprenticeship track from UCSL's existing ITI Trade Apprentice drive, aimed at engineering degree and diploma holders. Selected apprentices will undergo training at UCSL's Malpe facility in Karnataka under the Apprentices Act, gaining hands-on shipbuilding industry experience. Selection is based on certificate verification, merit/reservation-based ranking, and medical fitness, with no written examination. Graduate Apprentices receive a stipend of ₹15,000 per month plus meals allowance, while Diploma Apprentices receive ₹13,200 per month plus meals allowance.
