BARC Scientific Assistant (Para-Medical) Recruitment 2026 — 6 Posts, Apply Online by 18 Aug (All India)

Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), India's premier nuclear research institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, has invited online applications for 6 Group 'B' Scientific Assistant (Para-Medical) posts through Direct Recruitment under Advertisement No. 06/2026 (R-I). The vacancies cover disciplines including Psychology, Pathology, Radiography, and Nuclear Medicine Technology at BARC Mumbai and Radiation Medicine Research Centre (RMRC) Kolkata. As of July 2026, the BARC Scientific Assistant 2026 online application process is open from 17 July 2026 to 18 August 2026. Selected BARC Scientific Assistants will work in para-medical and research support roles in specialised departments at BARC's Radiation Medicine Centre (RMC) Mumbai and RMRC Kolkata. Post DR/01 — Scientific Assistant/C (Psychologist): Graduation in Psychology with minimum 60% marks + Post Graduation in Applied Psychology / Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology with minimum 50% marks. Preference given to candidates with minimum one year Hospital/Clinical experience after Post Graduation. Post DR/02 — Scientific Assistant/B (Pathology): B.Sc with minimum 60% marks + PG Diploma in Medical Lab Technology (DMLT) with minimum 60% marks OR B.Sc (Medical Lab Technology) with minimum 60% marks. Post DR/03 — Scientific Assistant/B (Radiography): B.Sc (Radiography) with minimum 60% marks OR B.Sc with minimum 50% marks + One year Diploma in Radiography. Post DR/04 — Scientific Assistant/B (Nuclear Medicine Technology): B.Sc with minimum 60% marks + DMRIT / DNMT / DFIT with minimum 50% marks OR B.Sc (Nuclear Medicine Technology). All posts are Unreserved (UR) and under Group 'B'. Eligibility determined as on closing date 18 August 2026.

Scientific Assistant/C (DR/01): Pay Level 7 — ₹44,900 per month entry pay under 7th Pay Commission. Scientific Assistant/B (DR/02, DR/03, DR/04): Pay Level 6 — ₹35,400 per month entry pay under 7th Pay Commission. Plus DA, HRA, Transport Allowance and other Central Government allowances as applicable.
