BRO GREF Recruitment 2026 — Store Keeper, Operator, Electrician & More (899 Posts)

The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) under the Ministry of Defence has released Advt. No. 01/2026 for 899 Group C posts under the General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF) — Store Keeper Technical (300), Operator Communication (261), Operator Engg. Mechanic (207), Electrician (79), Draughtsman (42), and Hindi Typist (10). Open to male Indian nationals only. Posting is on an all-India basis, primarily in border areas, high-altitude regions and remote terrain including Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and the Northeast. Selection is through written exam, skill test, document verification, and medical examination.

10th pass / 12th pass / ITI in relevant trade — varies by post (Store Keeper: 12th; Operator Communication: 10th + ITI; Electrician: 10th + ITI Electrician; Draughtsman: 10th + ITI Draughtsman; Hindi Typist: 12th + Hindi Typing 25 WPM)

18–27 years as on 01 June 2026; relaxation per govt rules

• Store Keeper Technical: 12th pass from a recognized board.
• Operator Communication / OEM: 10th + ITI in relevant trade.
• Electrician: 10th + ITI Electrician.
• Draughtsman: 10th + ITI Draughtsman (Civil).
• Hindi Typist: 12th + Hindi Typing speed 25 WPM.
• Age 18–27 years as on 01 June 2026 (relaxation per rules).
• Males only. Must meet physical and medical standards for border postings.
