CSIR-NBRI Project Associate, Sr-PAT & More Recruitment 2026 — 18 Posts, Walk-in 8–11 Sep (Uttar Pradesh)

CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (CSIR-NBRI), Lucknow, under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has released CSIR-NBRI Project Positions Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. 08/Project/2026 for 18 posts spanning Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, Senior-PAT, Project Scientist-II, Young Professional, and Project Assistant-II. Selected candidates will work on CSIR-NBRI's sponsored research projects, contributing to areas such as CRISPR-based virus detection, genome editing for crop improvement, nano-biofertiliser development, indoor air purification technologies, and conservation of India's botanical wealth. Qualification varies by post and project. Project Associate-I posts require an M.Sc. in Chemistry/Biotechnology, Botany/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences, or Agricultural Sciences (as applicable to the project), or a B.Tech in Biotechnology, from a recognised University, with desirable experience in molecular biology, plant tissue culture, or related techniques. Project Associate-II posts require an M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology/Biosciences/Chemistry-related disciplines, plus a minimum of 2 years' R&D experience, or an M.Tech/Integrated M.Tech in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics. Senior-PAT posts require an M.Sc. in the relevant subject with 3 years' R&D experience, or a Ph.D. in the same subject. Project Scientist-II requires a Doctoral Degree in Science, or a Masters/Integrated Masters in Engineering or Technology, along with 5 years' R&D experience. Young Professional-I requires an M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science/Biochemistry/Biotechnology or related nanoscience disciplines. Young Professional-II requires an M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences/Environmental Science/Chemistry/Botany/Microbiology/Plant Science. Project Assistant-II requires a B.Sc. or a 3-year Diploma in Engineering/Technology.
