Overview
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened applications for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) — September 2026 session. CTET is a mandatory eligibility test for teaching jobs in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS) for Classes 1 to 8. Paper I is for Classes 1–5 and Paper II for Classes 6–8. The exam is pen-and-paper, with no negative marking, and the certificate is valid for lifetime.
Eligibility
* Paper I (Classes 1–5): Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% + a 2-year D.El.Ed (or related teacher-education qualification).
