CTET September 2026 — Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CBSE)

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened applications for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) — September 2026 session. CTET is a mandatory eligibility test for teaching jobs in central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS) for Classes 1 to 8. Paper I is for Classes 1–5 and Paper II for Classes 6–8. The exam is pen-and-paper, with no negative marking, and the certificate is valid for lifetime.

Paper I (Classes 1–5): 10+2 with 50% + D.El.Ed (or related); Paper II (Classes 6–8): Graduation + B.Ed/D.El.Ed (or related). Final-year teacher-education candidates may apply.

No age limit

• Paper I (Classes 1–5): Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% + a 2-year D.El.Ed (or related teacher-education qualification).
• Paper II (Classes 6–8): Graduation + a 2-year D.El.Ed or a B.Ed (or related).
• Final-year teacher-education candidates may also apply.
• No age limit. Check paper-wise eligibility combinations in the official notification.

General/OBC ₹1,200; SC/ST/PwD ₹600 (varies for one vs both papers — see notification)

1. Go to ctet.nic.in and click "Apply for CTET September 2026" → New Registration.
2. Register to get your application number and password, then log in.
3. Fill personal/academic and exam-preference details; upload photo and signature.
4. Pay the fee online and submit before 10 June 2026 (11:59 PM). Correction window 15–18 June 2026.
