Qualification
- Project Technician (Fitter Instruments/Fitter Electronics/Machinist/Optical Worker/Electroplater): Matriculation plus a relevant National Trade Certificate (NTC) or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT in the specific trade — Degree/Diploma holders in Engineering without NAC/NTC are not accepted as a substitute
- Welfare Officer: Full-time Bachelor's Degree (minimum 60% marks) plus a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Social Work, Human Resources Management, or Labour Welfare from a Central/State Government-recognised institution, with 2 years' experience in Labour Welfare in a Factory gained after acquiring the qualification
- Junior Project Engineer (Chemical): First class (60% marks) full-time regular B.Sc. Degree in Chemistry, with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification relevant experience
- Junior Project Engineer (Electrical): Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Plant Maintenance Engineering (minimum 60% marks), with 5 years' post-qualification relevant experience
- Junior Project Engineer (Electronics): Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation/Industrial Electronics & Instrumentation (minimum 60% marks), with 5 years' post-qualification relevant experience
- Junior Project Engineer (Mechanical): Full-time regular 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering & Mechatronics (minimum 60% marks), with 5 years' post-qualification relevant experience
- Junior Project Engineer (Optics & Coating): First class (60% marks) full-time regular B.Sc. Degree with Physics and Mathematics as major subjects, with 5 years' post-qualification relevant experience
- Consultant (Coordination): Retired Officer of the Indian Army in the rank of Major or Lt. Colonel from Armoured Corps/Mechanised Infantry/Corps of Artillery/Army Ordnance Corps/Corps of EME
- For Junior Project Engineer posts, General/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates need a minimum of 60% aggregate marks and SC/ST/PwBD candidates a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the essential qualifying exam; only Indian Nationals are eligible for all posts
Age Limit
- Project Technician (all trades): 18 to 32 years
- Welfare Officer: 27 to 45 years
- Junior Project Engineer (all disciplines): 18 to 35 years
- Consultant (Coordination): Maximum 62 years
- Age reckoned as on the closing date of the advertisement for all posts
- Relaxation in upper age limit is permissible for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and other eligible reserved categories per Government of India directives; Ex-Trade Apprentices of Ordnance Factories get relaxation to the extent of their apprenticeship training period for Project Technician posts
Eligibility
- Post-specific qualification and experience as detailed in the Qualification field above — verify against the specific trade/discipline before applying, since Degree/Diploma holders without NAC/NTC cannot substitute for Project Technician trade requirements
- Age limit ranges from 18-32 years (Project Technician) to a maximum of 62 years (Consultant), as on the closing date, with category-wise relaxation as listed in Age Limit

Salary
- Project Technician (all trades): ₹20,000-₹65,000 per month, plus Industrial Dearness Allowance (IDA), HRA (where company accommodation is not provided), and Medical Allowance of ₹1,500 per month
- Welfare Officer: ₹40,000-₹1,40,000 per month, plus IDA, HRA, and Medical Allowance of ₹1,500 per month
- Junior Project Engineer (all disciplines): ₹30,000-₹1,20,000 per month, plus IDA, HRA, and Medical Allowance of ₹1,500 per month
- Consultant (Coordination): ₹1,00,000 per month for a retired Major; ₹1,30,000 per month for a retired Lt. Colonel
- An annual increment of 3% (rounded to the next ₹10) of basic pay applies during the tenure for Project Technician, Welfare Officer, and Junior Project Engineer posts, subject to satisfactory performance
