Qualification
- Engineering degree (or final year of an engineering degree) in a notified stream, from a university/institution recognised by an Act of Parliament/State Legislature or deemed university under UGC Act 1956, IIT Act 1961, AICTE Act 1987, NITSER Act 2007, or IIIT Act 2024
- Final-year candidates must be able to prove passing the degree exam with all marksheets by 01 April 2027, and produce the degree certificate within 12 weeks of PCTA training start
- Final-year candidates whose final result is declared after 29 March 2027 are not eligible
- Foreign university degrees are not accepted
Age Limit
- 20 to 27 years as on 01 April 2027 (born between 01 April 2000 and 31 March 2007, both dates inclusive)
- Only Matriculation/Secondary School Certificate date of birth accepted; no other proof accepted and no correction entertained later
- Open only to unmarried male candidates; marrying during or after applying (before joining) leads to cancellation/discharge
Eligibility
- Engineering degree (or final year) in a notified stream: Civil (75 posts), Computer Science (60), Electrical (33), Electronics (64), Mechanical (101), Miscellaneous Engineering Streams (17)

- Unmarried male candidates only
- Citizen of India, or subject of Nepal, or person of Indian origin as specified with eligibility certificate
- Minimum physical standards: 2.4 km run in 10 min 30 sec, 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, basic swimming knowledge
- Candidates already serving in the Armed Forces must apply through their Commanding Officer
- Candidates debarred by UPSC or withdrawn from any service academy on disciplinary grounds are not eligible

Salary
