NIT Calicut Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is out: the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut has released Advertisement No. NITC/CCESD/NATS/AT/2026/003 dated 07 October 2026 for 30 one-year apprenticeship seats under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) for 2026-27. There are 19 Graduate Apprentice seats — General Administration (12), Library & Information Science (4), Nursing (2) and Hotel Management (1) — and 11 Technician (Diploma) Apprentice seats in Computer Science (5), Commercial Practice (2), and one each in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering. This Kerala central government apprenticeship is open to recent graduates and diploma holders who passed on or after 01 January 2022. Selected apprentices will train for one year in the administrative offices, central library, health centre, guest house and engineering sections of the NIT Calicut campus near Kozhikode. • Graduate Apprentice — General Administration: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks.
• Graduate Apprentice — Library & Information Science: B.Lib.Sc. with 60%, or any Bachelor's degree with 60% plus M.Lib.Sc.
• Graduate Apprentice — Nursing: B.Sc. Nursing with 60%; Hotel Management: Degree in Hotel Management with 60%.
• Technician (Diploma) Apprentice: Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or Diploma in Commercial Practice, from a recognised State Board or institution.
• The qualifying degree or diploma must have been completed on or after 01 January 2022, in regular mode.
• Candidates who already have or had an apprenticeship contract with any organisation under NATS are not eligible.
• Registration and eligibility as per the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) is mandatory.

• Graduate Apprentice: UR 28 years, OBC 31, SC/ST 33 years as on 21.10.2026
• Diploma Apprentice: UR 30 years, OBC 33, SC/ST 35 years as on 21.10.2026

• Graduate Apprentice: degree in the specified discipline with 60% marks
• Technician Apprentice: diploma in the specified engineering or commercial practice discipline
• Qualification completed on or after 01 January 2022, in regular mode
