Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu has released Advt. No. NPCIL/MAPS/HRM/APPRENTICESHIP/2026/01 for 158 Apprentice vacancies — 124 Trade Apprentices, 18 Diploma Apprentices, and 16 Graduate Apprentices. This is an offline (postal) application — download the form from npcil.nic.in, fill it, and send by post. Candidates must first register on the NAPS 2.0 portal (for Trade) or NATS 2.0 portal (for Diploma/Graduate) before applying. Selection is based on merit in qualifying examination, document verification, medical fitness, and police verification. No application fee.

Trade Apprentice (124 posts): 10th + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, etc. Diploma Apprentice (18 posts): Diploma in Engineering. Graduate Apprentice (16 posts): BA, B.Sc, B.Com (non-engineering). Degree must be obtained within 5 years of 30 June 2026.

• Trade Apprentice: Matriculation + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trade — Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic, etc.
• Diploma Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering/Technology in relevant discipline.
• Graduate Apprentice: BA, B.Sc, B.Com or equivalent (non-engineering streams).
• Qualifying degree/diploma must be obtained within 5 years of 30 June 2026.
• Age 18–25 years (relaxation per govt norms).

Stipend: ₹9,600/month (1-year ITI), ₹10,560 (2-year ITI), ₹12,300 (Graduate). 1-year apprenticeship training.

1. Register on NAPS 2.0 (naps.gov.in) for Trade OR NATS 2.0 (nats.education.gov.in) for Diploma/Graduate — mandatory before applying.
2. Download the application form from npcil.nic.in.
3. Fill the form, affix passport-size photo, attach self-attested copies of all documents.
4. Send by post to: Deputy Manager (HRM), NPCIL, Madras Atomic Power Station, Kalpakkam – 603102, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu.
