Overview
National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Kanpur, under the Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, has invited offline applications for Guest Faculty engagement for the 2026-27 session, vide File No. NSTIK/Trg./GF/2020-21(E-40420) dated 16 July 2026. Applications must reach NSTI Kanpur by 03 August 2026 up to 5:30 PM, on working days from Monday to Friday. Engagement is invited under two schemes. The CITS list covers Turner, Machinist, Fitter, Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Sewing Technology, Dress Making, CHNM, CSA, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Welder, Information Technology, Training Methodology, and Workshop Calculation and Science. The CTS list covers Solar Technician Electrical and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician. NSTI has not fixed a vacancy count, stating instead that numbers may rise or fall as required, so no post total appears in this listing. Remuneration is hourly rather than a monthly salary: ₹250 per hour for CITS trades and ₹200 per hour for CTS trades, capped at ₹30,000 per Guest Faculty in any calendar month. The engagement is purely temporary, renewed every three months, and can be cancelled at any time by the engaging authority without reason. Selection is by written test and skill test, with the tentative date published on the institute website and call letters sent by email to eligible candidates only. Because tests for every trade run at the same time, NSTI advises applying for one post only. Send applications to the Deputy Director or Training Incharge, National Skill Training Institute, P.O. Udyog Nagar, Kanpur 208022, writing the trade name clearly on the envelope.
