Overview
Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) Recruitment 2026 is out, with 30 vacancies announced under Advertisement No. 03/2026, dated 03.09.2026, across four streams — General, Research, Actuary, and Official Language (Rajbhasha). This PFRDA government job 2026 is open to Indian citizens holding a relevant Master's degree, PG Diploma, or equivalent professional qualification (Law, Engineering, ACA/FCA, ACS/FCS, ACMA/FCMA, or CFA for the General stream) depending on the stream, aged up to 30 years as on 31 July 2026. The online application window runs from 3 September 2026 to 24 September 2026, exclusively at pfrda.org.in. PFRDA regulates and develops India's pension sector, including the National Pension System (NPS) and Atal Pension Yojana, and selected Officer Grade A candidates will work across regulatory, research, actuarial, or official-language functions at PFRDA's offices in New Delhi or Mumbai, with liability to serve anywhere in India. Of the 30 vacancies, 25 are in the General stream, 2 in Research, 2 in Actuary, and 1 in Official Language (Rajbhasha); category-wise, the total breaks down to SC-5, ST-2, OBC-8, EWS-3, and UR/GEN-12, including 2 posts reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities. The selection process for PFRDA Officer Grade A Recruitment 2026 consists of three phases: Phase I Online Screening Examination (used only for shortlisting to Phase II, not counted in final selection), Phase II Online Examination, and Phase III Interview, with final selection based 85% on Phase II marks and 15% on Phase III. The salary for PFRDA Officer Grade A 2026 is in the scale of ₹62,500 to ₹1,26,100 over 17 years, with gross emoluments of approximately ₹2,05,000 per month at the minimum of scale, inclusive of allowances — a strong compensation package for a Central Government regulatory body role. Phase I consists of two papers of 100 marks each — a common Paper 1 covering English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning, and General Awareness (90 questions, 60 minutes), and a stream-specific Paper 2 (50 questions, 40 minutes) — both with 1/4th negative marking. Phase II has a descriptive English Paper 1 (100 marks, 60 minutes, 1/3rd weightage) and a stream-specific objective Paper 2 (100 marks, 40 minutes, 2/3rd weightage, with 1/4th negative marking), with candidates equal to 5 times the number of vacancies shortlisted for Phase III in merit order. Phase III interview can be conducted in Hindi or English. Selected candidates undergo a 2-year probation period, and those already employed in government/quasi-government organisations or PSU banks must produce a No Objection Certificate at the interview stage. The PFRDA Officer Grade A 2026 online application is available at pfrda.org.in under the Careers section, and the last date to apply is 24 September 2026. Application fee is ₹1,000 (inclusive of GST) for UR/GEN, EWS, and OBC candidates; SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates are exempt. Candidates can apply for a maximum of 2 streams, each requiring a separate application and fee.
