AAI Eastern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 140 Posts, Apply Online by 15 Aug (West Bengal)

Airports Authority of India (AAI), Eastern Region has released the AAI Eastern Region Apprentice Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. 01/2026/ER/APPRENTICE for 140 apprentice posts, making this one of the most awaited apprenticeship notifications of the season for Eastern India government job aspirants. The engagement covers Graduate, Diploma and ITI Apprentice categories at the Regional Headquarters, Kolkata and various airports across AAI's Eastern Region jurisdiction. Candidates from West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands who passed their qualifying course in or after 2024 are eligible to apply. Selected apprentices will undergo a one-year structured training programme under the Apprentices Act, 1961, at AAI's Eastern Region airports and regional headquarters. There is no written examination for this engagement; selection is based on merit and eligibility scrutiny by AAI. Apprentices receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹9,600 to ₹15,000 depending on category, along with hands-on exposure to operations at one of India's largest airport infrastructure organisations, widely regarded as a strong stepping stone toward future AAI recruitment drives. • Graduate Apprentice (35 posts): B.E./B.Tech or equivalent full-time degree from a recognised university/institution in a relevant engineering discipline, passed in or after 2024
• Diploma Apprentice (35 posts): Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognised institution, passed in or after 2024
• ITI Apprentice (70 posts): ITI certificate (NCVT/SCVT) in a relevant trade from a recognised ITI, passed in or after 2024
• Qualification must be assessed as on 30 June 2026
• Only Indian nationals domiciled in the Eastern Region states are eligible: West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands
