Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam Limited (BHAVINI), a Government of India Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy, has released BHAVINI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 under Notice No. BHAVINI/HR/TA-V/2026-2027 for 50 Trade Apprentice posts across 9 ITI trades at Kalpakkam, Tamil Nadu. BHAVINI is building and operating the 500 MWe Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR) at Kalpakkam, and this apprenticeship is engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1991. Candidates who have passed 10th class (with Science and Mathematics for most trades) under the 10+2 system, along with an ITI Pass Certificate in the relevant trade — Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Instrument Mechanic and more — are eligible to apply. Selected Trade Apprentices will undergo one year of practical, on-the-job training at BHAVINI's Kalpakkam campus in Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, under trades such as Fitter (10 posts), Electrician (10 posts), Instrument Mechanic (10 posts) and Maintenance Mechanic Chemical Plant/Fitter (10 posts). The selection process for BHAVINI Trade Apprentice 2026 includes shortlisting based on ITI marks and trade competency, followed by a Trade Test/Certificate Verification, a medical examination, and mandatory Police Verification since BHAVINI is a highly protected nuclear facility area. Selected apprentices receive a minimum stipend of ₹9,600 per month during the one-year training period, on a stipend basis only, with no obligation on BHAVINI to offer employment on completion. Candidates for BHAVINI Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must first register and complete Aadhaar verification on the apprenticeshipindia.gov.in portal, then download and complete the Application Form from bhavini.nic.in and send it by post so it reaches BHAVINI's Kalpakkam office on or before 1 October 2026. 1. Register on the apprenticeship portal at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in for enrolment as an Apprentice — applications will not be accepted without this registration.
2. Complete Aadhaar verification of your enrolment on the same portal, and keep a screenshot of the "Aadhaar verified" status for your application.
3. Download the Application Form (Annexure-I) from the official BHAVINI website, bhavini.nic.in.
4. Confirm your eligibility for the specific trade you are applying for before filling the form.
5. Fill the application in the prescribed proforma, preferably typed on A4-size paper, including the Unique Enrolment ID from the apprenticeship portal.
6. Attach self-attested photocopies of all required certificates, plus the "Aadhaar verified" screenshot and a passport-size photograph.
7. Superscribe the envelope: "APPLICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICE against Notice No. BHAVINI/HR/TA-V/2026-2027."
8. Send the completed application by post to: Deputy General Manager (HR), Recruitment Section, BHAVINI, Kalpakkam - 603102, Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu.
9. Ensure the application reaches BHAVINI's office on or before 1 October 2026 — applications received after this date will not be considered for any reason.
