Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Jhansi Unit, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has released Assistant Technical Consultant Recruitment 2026 under Advt No. TP-05/2026 for 2 posts on a contractual basis. This PSU job 2026 opening targets highly experienced ITI Electrician trade professionals with expertise in power transformer testing or locomotive assembly. Selected candidates will support testing of high-rating Power Transformers up to 400 KV class, or locomotive assembly, testing, fault-finding and commissioning of diesel electric shunting locomotives, drawing on a minimum of 15 years' relevant experience. The selection process for BHEL Assistant Technical Consultant 2026 consists of application scrutiny by a committee, followed by an interaction with a duly constituted Selection Board if required. Consolidated remuneration is ₹40,000 per month plus mobile charges, HRA and transport allowance. The BHEL Assistant Technical Consultant 2026 application must be submitted offline. • Assistant Technical Consultant: ITI passed with National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Electrician trade
• Minimum 15 years' post-qualification experience in testing of higher-rating Power Transformers up to 400 KV class (fully assembled and stage testing), OR minimum 15 years' post-qualification experience in Locomotive assembly, testing, fault-finding and erection/commissioning of diesel electric shunting locomotives at site

• Maximum 64 years
• For Ex-Servicemen: engagement duration is 5 years or till 65 years of age, whichever is earlier

• ITI passed with National Trade Certificate (NTC) in Electrician trade
• Minimum 15 years' post-qualification experience in Power Transformer testing (up to 400 KV) or Locomotive assembly/testing/commissioning
• Maximum age 64 years, with extended engagement terms for Ex-Servicemen
• Contractual appointment

Consolidated fee of ₹40,000 per month, plus mobile phone charges (up to ₹2,000 for one connection), HRA as per applicable rates, and Transport Allowance at 10% of consultancy fee
