Indian Air Force Airmen Group Y Medical Assistant Intake 02/2027 — 20-Year Regular Service (Apply by 26 July)

The Indian Air Force has released the recruitment notification for Airmen in Group Y (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade under Intake 02/2027 for male candidates. This is a regular Air Force enrolment with an initial tenure of 20 years — not an Agniveer or short-term scheme — making it one of the most secure and prestigious defence careers available in 2026. The online registration window is open from 6 July to 26 July 2026 on the official IAF recruitment portal at airmenselection.cdac.in. Eligible candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (minimum 50% aggregate marks) from a recognised board, or must hold a Diploma/B.Sc/B.Pharma in Pharmacy from a recognised institution. The selection process includes a Written Test (STAR Phase-I), Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test, and Medical Examination. Only male candidates of Indian or Gorkha (Nepal) nationality are eligible. Selected Airmen will receive comprehensive medical training and will serve as Medical Assistants at IAF establishments across India, providing healthcare support to Air Force personnel and their families. The monthly pay ranges from ₹14,600 to ₹26,900 with all standard IAF allowances.
