Indian Army JAG Entry 125th Course 2026 — Judge Advocate General, Law Graduates SSC Officer (April 2027)

The Indian Army has released the recruitment notification for the 125th SSC JAG (Judge Advocate General) Entry Scheme Course commencing in April 2027 for Law Graduates. The JAG Entry is one of the most sought-after officer entry routes for law graduates seeking a career in the Indian Army's legal branch. The online application opens on 17 July 2026 and the last date to apply is 17 August 2026 through the official recruitment portal at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates must hold an LLB degree from a Bar Council of India recognised Law College with minimum 55% aggregate marks. They must either be enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council or be eligible for enrolment. The selection process includes application shortlisting based on academic merit, a two-stage SSB Interview (Stage I and Stage II), Medical Examination, and Document Verification. No written examination is conducted for JAG Entry. Selected candidates are commissioned as Short Service Commission Officers in the Army's Judge Advocate General's Department.
