Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course 2026 — SSC Officer Entry April 2027, NCC C Certificate Holders

The Indian Army has released the recruitment notification for the 125th Short Service Commission (SSC) NCC Special Entry Scheme Course commencing in April 2027. This prestigious entry route allows eligible NCC C Certificate holders to join the Indian Army as Short Service Commission Officers without appearing for any written examination — making it one of the most accessible paths to an officer commission in the Indian Army. The online application opens on 20 July 2026 for male candidates and 21 July 2026 for female candidates at joinindianarmy.nic.in. Candidates must hold a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university along with a valid NCC C Certificate with at least a B grade. The selection process skips the written examination entirely — eligible candidates are directly shortlisted based on graduation percentage and called for the two-stage Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview, followed by a Medical Examination and Document Verification. Selected candidates undergo training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, and are commissioned as Short Service Commission Officers in the rank of Lieutenant. There is absolutely no application fee for any category.
