Overview
The Indian Navy has invited online applications from unmarried male candidates for Agniveer (Apprentice) recruitment under the Agnipath scheme — 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches — through the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET 2/2026), for Engineering and Electrical streams. Exact vacancies will be notified later. Selection is through INET (Stage I), then Physical Fitness Test + written exam + medical (Stage II), with pre-enrolment medical at INS Chilka.
Qualification
Matriculation (Class 10) with 50% + 3-year Diploma in a relevant Engineering/Electrical trade from an AICTE-recognised Polytechnic with 50%
Age Limit
Date of birth between 01 Dec 2004 and 31 Oct 2009 (batch-wise rules apply); unmarried male candidates only
Eligibility
- Only unmarried male Indian candidates are eligible.
- Matriculation (Class 10) with at least 50% AND a 3-year Diploma in a relevant Engineering/Electrical trade from an AICTE-recognised Polytechnic with at least 50%.
- Date of birth between 01 December 2004 and 31 October 2009 (batch-wise age rules apply at Stage II).
- Agniveers cannot marry during the 4-year tenure.

Salary
₹30,000/month in Year 1, rising to ₹40,000 by Year 4 + Seva Nidhi corpus (~₹10.04 lakh) + ₹48 lakh life insurance cover

- Log in and select "Agniveer (Apprentice) – INET 2/2026."
- Fill personal/educational/preference details; upload a recent passport photo (taken after May 2026) and signature.
- Pay the exam fee and submit before 29 June 2026 (17:00). Corrections on 06 July 2026.
