VPA Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 — 20 Posts, Apply by 23 Sep (Andhra Pradesh)

Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has released the Visakhapatnam Port Authority Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026 for 20 posts under the Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Department. This is a one-year training opportunity in Andhra Pradesh under the Apprentices Act, 1961, covering the Welder, Electrician, Fitter, Motor Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) and Electronics (Mechanic) trades. Candidates who have passed ITI in the relevant trade, and have completed a minimum age of 14 years as on 31 August 2026, are eligible to apply online through the Apprenticeship India portal from 24 August 2026 to 23 September 2026. Selected Trade Apprentices will undergo one year of structured training in their respective ITI trade at Visakhapatnam Port Authority. The selection process for VPA Trade Apprentice 2026 is based purely on merit, calculated from the aggregate marks obtained in ITI, followed by certificate verification; trade allotment is decided by the Head of Department. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,344.60 for Welder, and ₹9,387.67 for Electrician, Fitter, Motor Mechanic and Electronics trades. The VPA Trade Apprentice 2026 online application is available through the Apprenticeship India (NAPS) portal, apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, by registering and selecting Visakhapatnam Port Authority as the establishment in Andhra Pradesh. The last date to apply is 23 September 2026. There is no application fee for any category.
